The Institute and Kazakhstan University of Logistics and Transport Holds an Online Cooperation and Exchange Meeting

On November 18th, the institute held an online cooperation and exchange meeting with the Kazakhstan University of Logistics and Transport. The participants from the Kazakhstan included: the president, vice president and the heads of Academic Affairs Office, Scientific Cooperation Office, Cooperation and Academic Exchange Office, College of Transportation Engineering, College of Automation and Communication, College of Logistics and Management. President Du Guoxiong, President Cao Guohong, and relevant persons in charge of Academic Affairs Office, College of International Education, College of Finance and Logistics, College of Transportation Management, College of Intelligent Engineering, College of Communication and Signal attended the meeting. The meeting was hosted by the China office of Kazakhstan University of Logistics and Transport.

 

At this meeting, both sides watched the introduction video of both universities and firstly, the rectors exchanged welcoming speeches.

 

Rector of Kazakhstan University of Logistics and Transport Shalitanaati expressed his best wishes for our university's anniversary, introduced the university's experience of cooperation with other Chinese institutions, said that the university's faculties of logistics and management have a lot in common with ours, and expressed his wish to cooperate with our university.

 

Rector Du Guoxiong firstly expressed his heartfelt congratulations to the 90th anniversary of Harvard, and introduced the history, faculties and main majors of our university. He expressed his pleasure to form this negotiation and hoped that the two universities could continue to exchange and deepen cooperation in the future.

 

Kazakhstan University of Logistics and Transport was founded in 1931, initially as a branch of the Central Asian Railway Engineers' Society, and is a leading higher technical education institution in Kazakhstan. Currently, the university offers several educational programs at the bachelor, master and doctoral levels, mainly training professionals in transportation, information technology, telecommunications and finance.

 

During the meeting, the two sides also discussed and exchanged views on specific issues such as promoting cooperation in student training, teacher training, and cooperation in scientific research projects. Both sides expressed that they will deepen the exchange between the two schools in the future, and export wisdom solutions for the cooperation of vocational education on "Belt and Road Initiative ".
