1.  Main Functions

The vehicle maintenance training room mainly serves the students of the institute of locomotive and rolling stock, in order to cultivate the skills of wheelset maintenance and coupling buffer device maintenance. Through the training, students can master the basic literacy requirements of vehicle maintenance and the use of measuring tools, and lay a solid foundation for the future work. The training room for vehicle maintenance is equipped with 2 wheelsets of freight vehicles, 4 wheelsets of passenger vehicles, 1 wheelset of urban rail vehicles, 7 non-rigid couplings, magnetic powder flaw detector and ultrasonic flaw detector and other training equipment, and equipped with various kinds of measuring tools for wheelset and coupler detection. The training room can carry out wheelset maintenance, wheelset measurement, coupler disassembly, coupler maintenance, non-destructive testing and other training projects.
