On August 14th, six outstanding students from our school participated in the 2023 summer cultural exchange event in Russia. This summer student study activity in Russia is the third student culture training group of our school after the epidemic, and it is a major measure to enhance students' international vision. Under the care and guidance of school leaders, the activity was successfully concluded under the careful organization of the International Education College and various secondary colleges.
In this learning and exchange activity, the students visited Moscow University, St. Petersburg State Alexander I Emperor Jiaotong University, Hermitage Museum, Russian National Museum, etc. They experienced the cultural atmosphere of Russia and explored its historical and cultural heritage; The students participated in a three-day intensive training course at the State Alexander I Jiaotong University in St. Petersburg, Russia, covering the development of Russian railways, Russian language and culture. Through learning, the students have improved their practical application skills in Russian speaking and expanded their knowledge on Russian national conditions, culture, rail transit, and other aspects. Students expressed that this exchange activity has broadened their horizons and broadened their horizons. They hope to have the opportunity to participate in more cultural exchange activities in the future, continuously learn and improve themselves.
In 2016, our school began to carry out Sino foreign cooperation in running schools of railway traffic operation management and railway signal automatic control with the State Alexander I Emperor Jiaotong University in St. Petersburg, Russia, and was once rated as the exemplary organization of high-level demonstration construction project of Sino foreign cooperation in running schools in Jiangsu universities. The holding of the Russian summer camp further consolidated the friendly cooperative relationship between the school and the Russian Saint Petersburg State Alexander I Jiao Tong University. In 2018, our school sent 8 students to participate in the Summer Camp of Saint Jiaotong University in Russia. In 2019, our school sent 12 students to participate in the Summer Camp of Saint Jiaotong University in Russia. In 2022, 65 students participated in online summer camp activities, and in 2023, we sent 6 students. Cultural training activities have enriched students' holiday lives, broadened their international perspectives, and promoted the high-quality development of our school's international talent cultivation.
