In order to further improve the quality of talent cultivation for the 2021 Egyptian international student order class, on the afternoon of March 21, the School of International Education held a teaching quality supervision meeting for the 2021 Egyptian order class in Conference Room A508 of the Information Center. Vice President Cao Guohong, Special Supervisor Wang Hong of the Egyptian International Student Order Class, Instructor Wu Haichao, Leaders of the Locomotive and Rolling Stock College, Communication and Signal College, Power Supply and Engineering College, and International Education College, as well as relevant professional teachers and international student homeroom teachers, attended the meeting. The meeting was chaired by Vice President Cao Guohong.
At the meeting, relevant leaders and teachers from the School of Locomotive and Rolling Stock, the School of Communication and Signal, the School of Power Supply and Engineering, and the School of International Education respectively summarized the implementation of the two week strengthening course for the 2021 Egyptian order class, and proposed suggestions for the development of later teaching.
Professor Wu Haichao, the instructor and mentor of the Egyptian order class, combined with his experience of multiple on-site lectures, affirmed the current implementation status of teaching in the Egyptian class and the bilingual construction of the teaching team. At the same time, he provided professional guidance on student management, teaching standards, course positioning, and teaching organization.
Vice President Cao Guohong first gave full recognition to the relevant secondary colleges for fully valuing the teaching quality of the Egyptian order class and selecting excellent bilingual teachers to teach. At the same time, in order to better complete the next training tasks of the order class, he proposed specific requirements such as strengthening unified teaching standards, optimizing course arrangements, researching and cultivating positioning, emphasizing disciplinary management, and strengthening coordination and communication.
Professor Wang Hong conducted an in-depth analysis of the current problems and proposed requirements such as adjusting teaching content in a timely manner based on changes in the academic situation, strictly regulating teaching links and improving practical teaching effectiveness, and strengthening guidance for young teachers. He emphasized the importance of effective improvement, synchronizing international student management with Chinese student management, and attaching great importance to the high-quality construction of talent cultivation for international students coming to China at our university.
Improving the quality of education for studying abroad in China is not only an inherent requirement for schools to promote international education, improve quality and efficiency, and develop connotation, but also an inevitable choice to further promote the opening up of education to the outside world and promote the "double high" construction of schools. Next, the school will further carry out multi departmental collaborative cooperation, focus on improving the effectiveness of talent cultivation for international students in China, deepen the connotation construction of modern apprenticeship system for international students, and polish the international business card of South China Railway.
