President Zhang Yingchao Leads a Delegation to Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia

In order to further promote international exchanges and cooperation, at the invitation of Kuala Lumpur Construction University of Malaysia, Peninsular student union of Malaysia and junior college youth association, Zhang Yingchao, President of our university, led a delegation to Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia from August 20 to August 24. Relevant comrades from the school's Foreign Affairs Office, communication and signaling college, locomotive and rolling stock college, power supply and Engineering College and other departments visited with the delegation.

On August 21, president Zhang and his party first visited Kuala Lumpur construction university, visited Kuala Lumpur construction university campus and the existing teaching and training facilities of the University, and communicated and discussed with some teachers on teaching and training. In the afternoon, a cooperation negotiation meeting was held in the dahonghua conference hall of the administrative building of the construction university. Professor Idris Zakaria, President of the Construction University of Kuala Lumpur, Professor Kang Wei, vice president of academic affairs, and President Li Yucai, chief operating officer, attended the negotiation. Within the framework of the memorandum of cooperation signed by our university in June this year, the two sides conducted in-depth discussions on specific cooperation matters such as joint school running mode, professional direction selection, talent training scheme and joint establishment of academic research center, and reached a consensus. Substantial progress has been made in the cooperation between the two universities. The two sides will carry out cooperation and joint construction in various fields within the cooperation framework.

On August 22, president Zhang and his party visited Malaysia Railway Training School and were welcomed by Mr. Chandra sagaran, general manager of Malaysia Railway Training School and his team. At the fair, Mr. Chandra sagaran first introduced the basic situation of Malaysian Railway Training School and expressed his wish to cooperate with our school in the training and certification standards of employees in rail transit industry. President Zhang Yingchao introduced the basic situation of our school, elaborated on the school running characteristics and advantages of our school and the development of international exchanges and cooperation, made a positive response to the cooperation desire put forward by the other party, and proposed that the two sides can jointly carry out the rail transit talent training project and jointly explore the certification system of employees in the rail transit industry in Malaysia. It is hoped that with the joint efforts of both sides, Malaysia railway training school can be built into a training center for rail transit talents in ASEAN countries. Nadu Lhasa, international president of Chartered Institute of logistics and transportation, Alef, President of Peninsular Malay Student Association, and Li Taikang, chairman of the board of directors of junior college students, attended the meeting. After the meeting, the participants visited the teaching venues and training facilities of the training school.

On August 23, president Zhang and his delegation visited the Malaysian Polytechnic University (the Malaysian Polytechnic University is one of the most famous national universities in Malaysia, ranking 5th in Malaysia and 217th in the world). Datuk Azlan, member of the Advisory Committee of the Ministry of education of Malaysia, and the dean of the school of Vocational and continuing education of Malaysia Polytechnic University received president Zhang and his delegation. The two sides had in-depth exchanges on topics of common concern such as rail transit specialty setting, talent training and curriculum development, and both sides expressed their intention of cooperation.

 On the morning of the 24th, president Zhang and his party visited the Malaysia China Friendship Association and had exchanges with many directors such as Huang Zhenlong, Deputy Secretary General of the Malaysia China Friendship Association and Datuk Shen zhechu, director. Deputy Secretary General Huang Zhenlong introduced the development of the Malaysia China Friendship Association. In recent years, Malaysia China Economic and trade relations have developed rapidly and friendly exchanges have been strengthened day by day. The Malaysia China Friendship Association has cooperated with the Chinese Embassy in Malaysia to launch the youth exchange plan between the two countries, Youth exchanges and visits between the two countries have been held for many times to actively promote the building of a "China Malaysia Friendship Park" between Malaysia and China. President Zhang Yingchao introduced the purpose of this visit to Malaysia and the cooperation intention with Kuala Lumpur construction university and Malaysian Railway Training School. He hoped to get the support of Malaysia China Friendship Association and promote the implementation of cooperation projects between our university and Malaysian parties through communication between Malaysia China Friendship Association and Malaysian government. At the same time, we sincerely invite Malaysia China Friendship Association to organize Malaysian youth representatives to visit our university for cultural exchanges, especially to experience China's high-speed railway and understand railway related knowledge, so as to call on more Malaysian youth to choose rail transit related majors.
