In order to ensure that the online teaching work of the 2021 class of Egyptian students is carried out normally, the School of International Education and AVIC International Complete Equipment Company Limited held a webcast online meeting and online teaching test session for the 2021 class of Egyptian students in the afternoon of October 13. Chen Wei, Senior Vice President of AVIC International Equipment Co., Ltd, Vice Director of College of International Education and related teachers, Project Manager of AVIC International and 32 freshmen of the 2021 class of Egyptian order students attended the meeting.

On the meeting, Yuan Yuan, Vice Director of the School of International Education, expressed a warm welcome to the Egyptian students on behalf of the university. She briefly introduced the basic situation of our university in terms of development history, school characteristics and international cooperation, and wished the freshmen a smooth participation in the subsequent study tasks, and looked forward to meeting the international students on campus as soon as possible.

Zhang Yi, Vice Director of the College of International Education, briefly introduced the basic situation of the program and encouraged the new students from Egypt to make extra efforts in their future study, plan well, learn Chinese and professional courses well and succeed.

Chen Wei, Senior Vice President of AVIC International Complete Equipment Co., Ltd. gave a speech, fully affirmed the cooperation with the school in the early stage, and expressed to strengthen the support to the international students of the program and do a good job in the education and management of the international students of the program together with the school. It is hoped that the international students will learn Chinese railroad knowledge seriously, make full use of the resources of the university and the company, apply what they have learned and contribute to the development of Egyptian railroad and Sino-Egyptian friendship.

The relevant full-time teachers made explanations for the relevant courses offered in this semester, and also did a good job in testing the online teaching software. All new students introduced themselves one by one.

Although the 21st grade Egyptian students could not come to the campus temporarily due to the epidemic of Covid-19, and the courses of this semester were conducted in online teaching mode, the distance could not stop the enthusiasm of the teachers and the Egyptian students from NIRT.
