The School of International Education Holds a Seminar for Students of Sino-Russian Cooperation Program

In the afternoon of March 2, the School of International Education (Department of Foreign Languages) held a seminar for the students of the Russian-Chinese Cooperation Program in the conference room A508 of the Information Center.

During the seminar, Vice Director Yuan introduced the overall situation of the Sino-Russian cooperative education program of institute, namely, the cooperation with Emperor Alexander I State University of Transportation in St. Petersburg, Russia since 2016. The program aims to educate international students who are familiar with Russian and Chinese languages and cultures, and master the vocational skills of high-speed railway. Vice Director Zhang introduced the Russian-Chinese program to the students and asked for their opinions and suggestions on teaching.

The students made pertinent comments on Russian language teaching, classroom management, teaching methods, independent learning ability, overseas teachers' training and other aspects. Yuan listened carefully and recorded the questions raised by the students, and discussed with them, encouraging them to overcome the difficulties in language learning, strengthen their independent learning ability, build up confidence, seize the opportunity to communicate with teachers, and continuously improve their Russian language application proficiency, professional knowledge level and comprehensive quality.

After this meeting , the staff strengthened the communication with the students of the program and know more deeply the various needs of the students in language and professional knowledge learning, academic upgrading and other aspects as well as the suggestions from the teaching and management staff, which is conducive to the improvement of the quality of personnel training in the Sino-Russian cooperation program.
