In order to accelerate the process of internationalization and raise the awareness of international exchange and cooperation among faculty and staff, the university invited Vice Researcher Guo Xinyu from the Department of International Cooperation and Exchange of the Provincial Education Department to give an academic report entitled "The Development Trend and Inspiration of Internationalization of Higher Education in the World" in the afternoon of November 6. The lecture was hosted by Vice Rector Liu Shenglong, and the heads of the second-level colleges (departments), department heads, directors of teaching and research departments, and all the teaching staff of the Department of International Cooperation and the Department of Foreign Language Teaching attended the lecture.

Deputy Director Guo Xinyu, combining her research results during her visit to the University of California, Los Angeles, USA, made a report on the process of promoting internationalization of higher education in the United States, the experiences of other countries in the world in exploring internationalization of education, and the reference and inspiration of foreign experiences to Jiangsu in exploring internationalization of higher education. She focused on the development status of reform of universities in Jiangsu and Sino-foreign cooperation, compared the assessment indexes of universities at home and abroad to measure the internationalization of schooling, made a comprehensive analysis of the development goals, work tasks and specific measures for Jiangsu to promote comprehensive reform with internationalization of higher education, and put forward six suggestions for the internationalization of education in higher vocational colleges. Finally, Director Guo affirmed the achievements made by the university in exploring the internationalization of schooling in recent years and hoped that the university would continue to make greater contributions in improving the connotation of Sino-foreign cooperative education, building a bilingual teacher team, expanding the scale of international students coming to China and serving Chinese railroads going abroad.

After the report, Vice Rector Liu Shenglong expressed his thanks to Director Guo for her wonderful report on behalf of the university. Liu said that Director Guo's report was very relevant, and many of the ideas and theories were very instructive for the university to promote the work of international education. He pointed out that in recent years, the development of international projects in our school has been restricted due to the difficulties in enrolling students in Sino-foreign cooperation programs, but the school has always insisted on the international development of school operation. strategy. To promote international cooperation and exchange, President Liu put forward three requirements: First, to give full play to the role of vice chairman of the International Federation of Eurasian (Tai) Transportation Universities, to build a platform for international exchange between teachers and students, and to further promote cooperation in teaching and scientific research; second, to closely cooperate with leading rail transportation enterprises such as Nanjing Puzhen Vehicle Co. The third is to steadily develop international cooperation projects and the scale of schooling, and strengthen the internal construction of education and teaching.
