On July 28, the Institute of International Education organized all Egyptian students to experience Chinese traditional calligraphy with the theme of "work together to build a clean culture of the the Belt and Road".
Teacher Wang Tao from the Jiangsu Calligraphers Association uses "The Love for Lotus" as a guide to introduce the profound connotation of lotus flowers in Chinese culture. He also uses the story of Song Dynasty's Si Chengzi Han, who "used honesty as gold" during the Spring and Autumn period, to educate international students to cultivate their character, be honest and self righteous, and be able to be an honest person. "With a clear breeze and a pillow under the south window, leisurely read a few books by the bedside.
After learning about the traditional four treasures of Chinese study, international students also mastered the six step grip technique of a brush and the writing techniques of Chinese calligraphy under the guidance of Teacher Wang, and collectively wrote the character "Lian".
By organizing international students to learn and experience Chinese calligraphy, the School of International Education has promoted the excellent traditional Chinese culture to international students and effectively promoted the education and teaching of Chinese as a foreign language. It further helps international students to better understand and spread Chinese culture, enhance their enthusiasm for Chinese language learning and comprehensive application level.
