In order to ensure the smooth progress of the school's 2022 Sino Russian cooperation project, the School of International Education held a pre travel meeting for students studying in Russia at the Information Center A-508 on the afternoon of June 23. Yuan Yuan, Vice Dean of the School of International Education, relevant project teachers, and 8 students from the 2020 Sino foreign Cooperation Class on Railway Traffic Operation Management and Railway Signal Automatic Control attended the meeting, which was presided over by Zhang Yi, Vice Dean of the School of International Education.
At the meeting, Dean Yuan of the School of International Education briefly introduced the basic situation of our school's cooperation with the St. Petersburg State Alexander I Emperor Jiaotong University in Russia. He hoped that students could broaden their international perspectives, improve their cross-cultural communication skills, enhance their safety awareness, and realize their self-worth during their study abroad.
During the Q&A session, Dean Yuan and Dean Zhang of the School of International Education, as well as the project manager of the School of International Education, conducted corresponding analysis and answers to the questions raised by students, and engaged in sufficient communication and exchange with them.
Dean Zhang emphasized the safety of studying abroad to his classmates and encouraged them to lay a solid foundation in the Russian language, study diligently, and achieve success in their studies.
From 2018 to 2021, 20 students from our cooperative program went to St. Petersburg State Alexander I Emperor Jiaotong University in Russia to study further. In 2022, 8 students applied to study further in Russia. At present, 13 students have obtained undergraduate and bachelor's degrees, of which 3 have successfully pursued a master's degree, promoting the high-quality development of our university's international talent cultivation.
