After application, expert evaluation, and filing with the Provincial Department of Education, our school has been awarded the title of "Jiangsu Province Advanced Collective for Education of International Students in China" in 2022. This year, 35 universities including Southeast University have received this honor, including 9 vocational colleges. Another teacher of our school has won the title of "exemplary individual of Foreign Student Education Management in Jiangsu Province", and one teacher has won the title of "Outstanding Foreign Student Counselor in Jiangsu Province".
The school attaches great importance to the education of international students in China and continuously improves the quality of education and teaching for international students. In the first Jiangsu University Foreign Student Teaching Observation Competition in 2022, two teachers from our school won first and third prizes respectively, and the school was awarded the "Excellent Organization Award". The school focuses on the brand construction of international talent cultivation, and the railway transportation operation management major has been approved for the second batch of international talent cultivation brand construction projects in universities in Jiangsu Province during the 14th Five Year Plan period. The school actively creates the international business card of "Study Abroad South Railway" and participated in the first batch of higher vocational education quality certification projects for international students coming to China guided by the International Department of the Ministry of Education.
The school has developed a talent cultivation plan for international students in China that aligns with the development needs of overseas industries, taking into account the academic situation of international students and the needs of order enterprises. In July 2022, graduates of the Egyptian Railway Talent Order Training Program served as train drivers during the opening of Egypt's first electrified railway, receiving praise from the President of Egypt and the Chinese Ambassador to Egypt.
The school actively organizes and encourages international students to participate in various competitions, enhancing their professional skills and cultivating their "love, knowledge, and friendship" through the "competition to promote learning" approach. In 2022, under the active organization and guidance of the School of International Education, our international students won multiple competition awards. The micro video work "Crossing the Continents of the High Speed Rail" won the third prize in the "Dream of Zhejiang Building the Future Together" Yangtze River Delta Foreign Student Series Activity - "Learning in the Yangtze River Delta" micro video competition work, and the photography work "My Internship Unit" CRRC Qingdao Sifang Co., Ltd. "won the" Top 10 Photography Works "award in the" Jiangsu University Foreign Student Creative Works Competition " The video work 'I Bring' Chinese Speed 'Back to My Hometown' won the third prize in the 'Jiangsu University Foreign Student Short Video Competition', and the instructor was awarded the title of 'Excellent Instructor'.
In 2022, under the premise that the COVID-19 continues to affect the cause of studying in China, the Institute of International Education will actively carry out online publicity, build an English enrollment website for international students in China, and create an international business card of South China Railway; Several management documents for international students coming to China, including the "Nanjing Railway Vocational and Technical College Management Measures for International Students in China (Revised)", have been issued to promote construction through systems. At the same time, by strengthening the connotation construction of talent cultivation for international students in China and improving the quality of international student cultivation, we actively innovate the management mode of international students and expand international educational channels.
In order to do a good job in cultivating talents for international students coming to China and promote the construction of overseas bases, the school has issued the "Nanjing Railway Vocational and Technical College Overseas Training Base Staff Selection Measures for Egypt", and has selected and dispatched two professional teachers with enterprise work background to Egypt for offline teaching and practical guidance. Through a combination of "online+offline" methods, the school has carried out talent cultivation for international students coming to China, Received high praise from international student order companies.
In the future, the school will continue to strengthen the talent training of foreign students in China, actively serve the "going out" of China's high-speed railway, train international innovative technical and technical professionals, build a connecting bridge between Chinese and foreign cultural exchanges, and contribute to the "the Belt and Road" cause of South Railway.
