In order to further improve the quality of talent cultivation for the 2021 Egyptian international student order class and facilitate the connection of teaching for returning international students in the near future, on the afternoon of February 14th, the school held a special teaching coordination meeting for the 2021 Egyptian order class in Conference Room 503 of the office building. Principal Du Guoxiong, Vice Principal Cao Guohong, Special Supervisor Wang Hong of the Egypt International Student Order Class, Special Supervisor Wu Haichao of the Egypt International Student Order Class, Heads of the Communication and Signal College, Locomotive and Rolling Stock College, and International Education College, as well as heads of various majors and relevant teachers, attended the meeting. The meeting was chaired by Vice President Cao Guohong.
At the meeting, Geng Feng, Vice Dean of the Locomotive and Rolling Stock College, and Deng Jianfang, Vice Dean of the Communication and Signal College, respectively reported on the implementation of the early teaching plan for the 2021 Egyptian order class, the implementation plan for the two weeks before the return of international students, and the focus and timing of the next teaching tasks. Supervised Professor Wu Haichao to provide relevant suggestions on the professional foundation and skills, curriculum design, teaching priorities, practical course requirements, and teacher abilities of the Egyptian order class.
Principal Du Guoxiong emphasized that the Egyptian talent training order class is an important project for the school to serve China's railway "going global" and build an international talent training brand. This project has achieved significant results in international talent training and has won widespread praise from the international community. In the future, the school will continue to promote the breadth and depth of school enterprise cooperation, cultivate and train local international railway talents, and assume the new mission of the era of "the Belt and Road". The students of the 2021 Egypt Order Class returned to school for the first time in mid to late February. They put forward five requirements: 1. To do a good job in receiving international students, warmly receive them, create a warm and friendly environment, and make international students have a sense of kinship and belonging; 2. Keep abreast of students' basic conditions and dynamically refine the implementation of strengthening course plans; 3. Adjust teaching methods at any time based on training objectives; 4. Equip the strongest teaching team to ensure the quality of talent cultivation; 5. Relevant secondary colleges should strengthen communication and exchange, and solve problems in a timely manner. I hope that the whole school can work together to ultimately achieve the goal of talent cultivation in this project.
Professor Wang Hong proposed four "full understandings": 1. Fully understand the importance of talent cultivation in Egypt's order class, as this project is of great significance for the school to further deepen international cooperation; 2. Fully understand the difficulties in cultivating the third batch of students in this project, be well prepared, and be prepared; 3. Fully understand AVIC International's expectations for talent cultivation in schools, strengthen humanistic care, seek more advice from supervisors, and ensure the quality of training; 4. Fully understand the responsibilities on your shoulders, and use your heart and emotions to improve the pertinence and effectiveness of talent cultivation.
In the next stage, international students will fully come to China and return to school. The training work of the Egyptian international student order class at the school will face unprecedented pressure and challenges. The school will go all out, fulfill its mission, and carry out the work well to achieve the established goals of the Egyptian international student talent training order class.
