Bathed in the celebratory atmosphere of the 70th anniversary of the founding of New China and the 70th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Russia, the 6th Sino-Russian Transport University Presidents' Forum and the 12th International Forum of Eurasian Transportation Universities were held in Beijing from October 16 to 18, and our institute participated in this forum as the vice-chairman of the Sino-Russian Transport University Presidents' Union and the vice-chairman of the International Federation of Eurasian Transportation Universities. Party Secretary Qian Jikui attended the forum, and Li Yuanbing, Director of Foreign Affairs Office of the Party and Government Office of the university, and Wu Baoming, Director of the School of International Education attended the meeting. The 2nd Forum on Sustainable Development of Urban Rail Transportation and the 3rd Forum on Innovation and Entrepreneurship of China-Russia Future Science and Technology were held at the same time. With the theme of "Join Hands in a New Era, Build a Community", the forum focused on the development of education and transportation in the new era, and discussed the further promotion of Sino-Russian transportation, especially the cooperation in the field of high-speed rail. The forum was hosted by the Chinese People's Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries, organized by Beijing United University and co-organized by China Railway Corporation.
The opening ceremony of the forum was held in the Great Hall of the People. The leaders attending the forum were Ji Bingxuan, Vice Chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress; Stalovoytov, Special Envoy of the Russian Government, Chairman of the Russian State Committee for Science, Technology and Knowledge Innovation, Deputy Chairman of the Russian State Duma Committee for Transport and Construction; Tu She, Vice President of the Chinese People's Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries; Ivan Zhelo, Minister-Counsellor of the Embassy of the Russian Federation in China. Mr. Khovetsov, Senior Representative of the Minister of Transport of the Russian Federation, Mr. Malakhov, Chief Engineer of the Safety Directorate of the Ministry of Transport of China, Mr. Li Tianbi, Deputy General Manager of China National Railway Corporation, Mr. Guo Zhuxue, Deputy Director of Beijing Municipal Education Commission, Mr. Zhao Haixing, Deputy Director of Beijing Municipal Education Commission, Mr. Liu Jianqing, Director of Eurasia Division of the International Department of the Ministry of Education of China. Nearly 300 leaders, guests, experts and scholars from Chinese and Russian transportation institutions and related industry enterprises attended this forum.
The afternoon report exchange meeting was held in Beijing International Conference Center. As the vice chairman of the International Federation of Eurasian Transportation Universities, Qian Jikui, secretary of the Party Committee of the university, presided over the 12th International Forum of Eurasian Transportation Universities and the 3rd China-Russia Forum on Future Science and Technology Innovation and Entrepreneurship, during which more than 10 transportation universities and enterprises made speeches.
During the forum, Mr. Qian Jikui had bilateral talks with the President of Korea National University of Transportation, Mr. Park Jun-hoon, and the presidents of several Russian transportation universities on personnel training, teacher exchange and training, and scientific research cooperation, and reached a number of consensuses on cooperation.

The Forum has built a good platform for teaching and research, talent cultivation and collaborative innovation. Through the Beijing Declaration, the Forum has further promoted the communication and cooperation among member universities, provided an international perspective for transportation construction and injected new vitality into the cultivation of talents in the field of "Belf and Road Initiative " transportation. At the same time, it also further enhanced the international visibility and influence of our university, and provided a good platform for the university to promote international exchange and cooperation with Eurasian transportation universities more deeply.
