On the afternoon of May 17th, the School of International Education held a unique competition for international students to recite Chinese classic poetry, titled "The Eternal Transmission of Classical Poetry and Chinese Civilization to the World". All international students enthusiastically participated in the competition and passionately recited famous Chinese poems from ancient and modern times, such as "Spring in Qinyuan - Changsha", "Spring in Qinyuan - Snow", "Facing the Sea, Warm Spring Flowers Blooming", and "The Word of the Sun".
Yuan Yuan, Vice Dean of the School of International Education, expressed in his post competition comments that he is pleased to see all international students actively participating in this competition after nearly 2 years of Chinese language learning. After this recitation of classic Chinese poetry by students, they experienced the beauty of Chinese writing, tasted the beauty of Chinese poetry, and experienced the beauty of Chinese culture. Zhang Yi, Vice Dean of the School of International Education, also praised all participating students and encouraged them to continue working hard to learn Chinese and become cultural ambassadors of the civilizations of China and Egypt.
