Brief Introduction

Nanjing Vocational Institute of Railway Technology (NIRT), approved by the Government of Jiangsu Province and filed on record in the National Ministry of Education, is a full-time governmental higher vocational college. Founded in 1941,it locates in the city of Nanjing on the Yangtze River Delta, which is one of the most dynamic and developed regions in China in terms of economy. It’s a national high-quality higher learning vocational college, a construction unit of high-level higher vocational schools with Chinese characteristics and professional group approved by the National Ministry of Education.

With two campuses, NIRT covers an area of 1146 mu (764,003.82 square meters,8,223,627.82 ft2), boasting more than 10,000 full time students. The secondary schools in NIRT are: School of Transportation Management, School of Communication Signals, School of Locomotive and Car, School of Power Supply and Engineering, School of Economy and Logistics, School of Architecture and Art Design and School of Intelligent Engineering, offers 36 majors facing rail transit industry and local economy. NIRT has the leading position in the rail transport industry, with other majors such as accounting, art and design in the provincial first-class.

With the first-class training conditions in China, NIRT’s high-speed railway training base connects the main railway line and trains can be driven into the campus. NIRT boasts the designated training unit of China Railway Corporation and the international talent training base of the Eurasian International Federation of Transportation Universities.

NIRT plans to enroll 110 overseas students who applies for the above majors in 2022.

Admission Requirements

1. Students between 18 to 30 years old with high school diploma, and in good health and good character.

2. Students passed the admission interview of our institute,or passed HSK test and have the certificate of band 4 or higher (or with equivalent ability); or who have the relevant English level certificate.

3. Majors like Automatic control of railway signals, Application technology of Urban Rail Vehicle,Technology of Power Supply require applicants without color blindness or color weakness,vision correction of both eyes is more than 4.8.

Application Time: From today until June 20, 2022.

Registration time: Sept.1st, 2022.

Notice

1. When applied, students are required to offer materials as follow,and send the electronic texts of these materials to mailbox gjy@njrts.edu.cn. The materials are:

A. One copy of passport;

B. High school diploma;

C. Transcripts during the high school;

D. 2 photos of one-inch front side upper half body without hats;

E. One copy of Admission Application Form;

F. Various certificates;

G. Proof of no crime;

H. Parental power of attorney for minors;

I. Proof of family funds.

2. If admitted,all students will receive Admission Letter in both Chinese and English issued by NIRT.

3. New students should enter college according to date specified in the Letter of Admission. Students who don't register within one week and without valid reasons will lose admission qualification.

4. The school will organize Physical Check within two weeks,and those who pass the checkup will fom1ally obtain their entry qualifications.

Education System, Graduation and Further Study

1.Education System: 3 years (September 2022 -June 2025).

2. Diploma: those who finish all the credits and get a qualified paper grade will get the associate degree in Chinese and English issued by Nanjing Institute of Railway Technology.

3. Further study: NIRT will recommend students who are willing and qualified to study at the undergraduate university in Nanjing. It will be a 2 more years' study for a bachelor's degree. The tuition is required according to the standard of the undergraduate university applied.

Scholarship and Other fees

1. Scholarship:NIRT provides the first year's scholarship for international students according to their performance at entrance examination. Students who have excellent attendance and academic performance without disciplinary sanction during their stay at school, and actively participate in various academic and cultural activities on campus, are able to continue to enjoy scholarship in the second and third academic years.

2. Other fees will NOT be charged if study online, which includes

(1)Visa to China￥400 for one year , medical examination￥430,insurance premium￥600 for one year,￥450 for HSK Level 4 Examination Fee （these fees might change according to current situation）are provided by the students themselves.

(2)NIRT would take pre-pay textbooks 500 RMB per year from each student.

(3)Students pay for electricity, water and internet bills.

(4)School restaurant opens all day, and the students need to pay for their meals by themselves. Each student needs living expenses 1000RMB monthly. Other living expenses are at students’ convenience.
